How many people attended: 36 people attended our Project update online workshops held on May 4th.
We then spoke to 62 people at our drop-in event on May 11th to tell them about the whole site approach.
Overall positive session where residents shared past memories of White City and the positive changes they expect from the White City Central project. Some residents had a few questions and concerns on heights of new buildings and the indoor/ outdoor views. A few residents raised concerns on maintenance, longevity, impact on parking and traffic, air pollution and changes to infrastructure due to increased population. An opportunity suggested by a few was that landscaping could extend beyond the site boundary to improve connectivity and perceptions of the estate.
Many were reassured by the genuinely affordable homes and that existing services would be upgraded and protected. Some were keen to know more about heights, locations, and how new buildings would look, as well as the potential impact on parking, maintenance, and construction on local residents and services.
